ACME Solar Commissions 143 MW/481 MWh Battery Energy Storage System in Rajasthan, India

ACME Solar Holdings (NSE:ACMESOLAR, BOM:544283), through its various subsidiaries, has commissioned 142.67 MW/481.49 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) in the first phase of its 585 MW/ 2011.24 MWh project in Rajasthan, India.
At present, the company's portfolio requires the installation of 17 GWh of BESS in multiple phases across different states, according to a Friday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
The commissioned BESS are connected with the existing operational interstate transmission system and will run on a merchant basis for the short term.
They are also expected to generate an additional revenue stream through the price differential between peak and non-peak demand hours.
