Shares of Custom Truck One Source slid after the company logged a lower fourth-quarter profit and revenue that missed Wall Street's expectations.
The stock fell 9.9% to $5.75 in Tuesday morning trading. The shares have gained 21% in the past year.
Custom Truck, which sells and rents trucks and heavy equipment, said fourth-quarter net income fell to $20.9 million, or 9 cents a share, from $27.6 million, or 12 cents a share, a year earlier.
The company attributed the lower net income to a $23.5 million gain on a sale leaseback transaction in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Revenue ticked up 1.4% to $528.2 million, missing the $584.7 million that analysts polled by FactSet were expecting.
The top-line gain was driven by a 13.5% increase in equipment rental solutions revenue, and partially offset by revenue declines in the truck and equipment sales and aftermarket parts and services segments.
In 2026, Custom Truck expects revenue to increase 3% to 9% compared with the year prior. Analysts polled by FactSet forecast full-year revenue of $2.1 billion, representing growth of around 8.2%.
