Viridis Mining and Minerals' (ASX:VMM) Colossus project in Minas Gerais was selected for inclusion in the Brazil Climate and Ecological Transformation Investment Platform, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The platform is a government initiative designed to mobilize international investment into climate transition and energy transformation projects, the filing said.
The company is advancing the project toward a targeted final investment decision in the second half of the year, per the filing.
Shares rose nearly 10% in afternoon trade on Tuesday.
