Dimerix (ASX:DXB) said the phase 3 Action3 trial of its DMX-200 drug candidate in patients with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis completed dosing the last adult patient recruited into the study, bringing the final enrollment to 333 adult patients, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis is a kidney disease characterized by progressive scarring in parts of the glomeruli, leading to proteinuria, progressive loss of kidney function, and often end-stage renal disease.
The study is closed to further recruitment of adult patients, while the recruitment of pediatric patients remains ongoing as an independent group in the trial, the filing said.
The full two-year study will assess the efficacy and safety of DMX-200 in focal segmental glomerulosclerosis patients when dosed in combination with standard-of-care blood pressure medication known as an angiotensin II receptor blocker over two years, per the filing. It is expected to be completed in March 2028.
The company's shares rose nearly 3% in recent trading on Tuesday.
