A Dubai Marina building was hit by falling debris following an aerial interception, which "caused a minor incident" on the facade in a residential area popular with tourists, Dubai's government media office said late Saturday local time in a post on X.

The Dubai government confirmed the death of a man in the area after debris fell on a vehicle.

The debris appeared to hit the exterior of 23 Marina Tower in Dubai Marina, according to videos posted on social media that were verified by Storyful, which is owned by News Corp, the parent company of The Wall Street Journal. The residential tower is one of the tallest buildings in the United Arab Emirates city.
