Semiconductor leader Cambricon Technologies Corporation Limited climbed over 5%. Apple supply chain leader Luxshare Precision Industry Co., Ltd. advanced more than 4%.

Market Drivers

On the news front, the explosion in AI computing demand is leading to a shortage of high-end components. The number of MLCCs used in AI servers is more than three times that of ordinary servers, with Nvidia's high-end servers using approximately 600,000 units each. Global supply of high-end MLCCs remains tight. Global giants like Murata and TDK are planning MLCC price increases of up to 20%, with domestic manufacturers following suit, initiating an industry-wide price hike cycle and expanding profit margins. Industry insiders indicate that the MLCC price increases signal strong AI demand and an acceleration in computing hardware upgrades, reinforcing the positive outlook for the PCB sector.

In consumer electronics, Apple's 2026 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC2026) is set to commence on June 9, Beijing time. This event is viewed as a key moment for Apple to showcase its capabilities in the AI field. Data shows that the underlying index of the Huabao Electronic ETF (515260) covers popular technology themes. As of the end of May, the weightings for the Apple, Nvidia, and Google industrial chains were 49.34%, 28.50%, and 23.85% respectively, indicating deep ties to the growth of global tech leaders and potential benefits from their industrial expansion and technological innovation.

Some securities research suggests that, from the current perspective, computing power demand continues to rise, with widening supply gaps in areas like memory, PCBs, CPUs, and switching chips. Many segments are experiencing both volume and price increases. Consequently, upstream capital expenditure is also accelerating, particularly for memory and AI chips. The dual resonance of demand and domestic substitution suggests that semiconductor equipment, materials, and components driven by capital expenditure could see a wave of explosive growth.

Looking ahead, some analysts are optimistic that the themes of "price increases + AI + domestic self-sufficiency" could form a strong, persistent main theme for the electronics sector throughout the year. The electronics industry's positive momentum is expected to continue, with AI remaining the primary driver. There is firm confidence in the future performance of the electronics sector as a whole.
