Mongol Mining (00975) has issued a positive profit alert, forecasting a significant turnaround in its financial performance. The company expects to report a consolidated net profit of approximately $100 million to $110 million for the first half of 2026.
This marks a sharp reversal from the same period in 2025, when the company recorded a consolidated net loss of $19.9 million. The anticipated profit is primarily attributed to a surge in revenue driven by higher sales volumes of washed coking coal and improved average selling prices compared to the first half of 2025. Additionally, the commencement of gold mine production and other net income contributed to the expected profitability.
