Prudential plc announced that it repurchased 406,076 ordinary shares on Mar, 18 2026 on the London Stock Exchange for cancellation at prices ranging from GBP 10.335 to GBP 11.145 per share.
The company also confirmed that 370,360 shares repurchased on Mar, 16 2026 were cancelled on Mar, 18 2026, while 329,328 shares repurchased on Mar, 17 2026 and 406,076 shares repurchased on Mar, 18 2026 remain pending cancellation.
Following these transactions, Prudential’s issued share capital fell to 2,531,059,136 shares as of Mar, 18 2026.
In addition, 1,836 new shares were issued on Mar, 18 2026 upon the exercise of options under the Prudential Sharesave Plan 2023.
Under the current shareholder mandate approved on May, 14 2025, the company is authorised to repurchase up to 262,668,701 shares; after the latest buyback, 76,119,597 shares have been repurchased, representing 2.92 % of the company’s issued share capital at the time of the mandate.
The company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares until Apr, 17 2026, in accordance with applicable regulations governing share repurchases.
