Snowflake Inc. (SNOW) shares surged 36.37% in post-market trading on Wednesday, following the release of its first-quarter fiscal 2027 financial results and several major strategic announcements.

The data cloud company reported robust quarterly performance, with adjusted earnings per share of $0.39, surpassing the consensus estimate of $0.32. Revenue for the quarter reached $1.39 billion, exceeding expectations of $1.32 billion and representing a 33% year-over-year increase. Concurrently, Snowflake announced a major multi-year strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS), committing $6 billion in infrastructure spending over five years to accelerate enterprise adoption of generative and agentic AI.

The company also revealed its intent to acquire Natoma, an AI agent connectivity platform, to provide secure connectivity for autonomous enterprise workflows. Additionally, Snowflake raised its financial outlook, forecasting second-quarter product revenue between $1.415 billion and $1.420 billion and increasing its full fiscal year 2027 product revenue guidance to $5.84 billion from a previous forecast of $5.66 billion. These combined positive financial results and strategic growth initiatives fueled the sharp upward movement in the stock price during the extended trading session.
