By 7:00 AM on August 5th, the final assembly workshop of ZEEKR's Smart Factory (Meishan) was in full swing, with robotic arms moving precisely along preset paths and automated guided vehicles shuttling between workstations. This super factory has been operating at full capacity since September 2025, maintaining a non-stop two-shift rhythm, producing nearly a thousand complete vehicles daily. This bustling scene epitomizes the rapid industrial growth in Ningbo Beilun.
In the first half of the year, Beilun District's industrial value-added output from enterprises above a designated size reached 52.91 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%, maintaining the fastest growth rate in the city. This achievement is not the result of a single sector's solo performance. Among the district's 10 key industries, 6 saw value-added growth rates exceeding the city average, with the high-end equipment industry growing by 42%. Private industrial enterprises above the designated size, totaling 735, achieved a combined industrial value-added output of 23.62 billion yuan, up 21% year-on-year.
The deep synergy of the industrial chain is the core driving force behind this growth. Automobile manufacturing is one of Beilun's pillar industries, now hosting 138 enterprises in the new energy and intelligent connected vehicle chain, forming a complete chain from components to the three-electric system. "Within a radius of tens of kilometers, you can find the vast majority of parts needed to assemble a car," said a representative from the Beilun District Economic and Information Technology Bureau. Components like Tuopu's chassis structures, Haitian and Feishi's powertrain systems, and Jifeng's headrests and seats are all integrated into mainstream global vehicle models. The ripple effect of the leading enterprises continues to amplify: In the first half of the year, ZEEKR delivered a cumulative 178,400 vehicles, a 97% increase year-on-year; Jifeng Co., Ltd. secured a seat assembly project order from a new energy vehicle OEM, with an estimated total lifecycle value of 2.45 billion yuan; and among Minth Group's new business orders in 2025, 82% are related to new energy.
Industrial chain foundation is complemented by innovation chain empowerment. Among the top 20 domestic die-casting mold enterprises, 11 are clustered in Beilun. Recently, the joint project "One-piece die-casting using heat-treatment-free, high-strength, and tough aluminum/magnesium alloys and their application technology" by ZEEKR, Likang, and Saiweida won a second prize at the National Science and Technology Progress Awards. Ningbo Zhenzhi Mould Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Beihang University Ningbo Innovation Research Institute, successfully secured two world-first achievements: a 250-ton one-piece die-casting mold and a 1,200-ton load clamping unit. From material breakthroughs to equipment manufacturing, the innovation chain and industrial chain are deeply integrated here, injecting strong technological momentum into industrial growth.
Innovation is not limited to technological breakthroughs; it is also reflected in the intelligent transformation of traditional industries. During the World Cup this year, Shenzhou Group secured a core order for the first time, producing jerseys for six teams sponsored by Adidas. It took only four days from the championship game's conclusion to the launch of the championship commemorative jerseys in the Chinese market. "This is the first time our company has fully developed a national team's soccer jersey. To stand out among global suppliers and win this order, we relied on our rapid response, flexible production capacity, and intelligent production lines," said Xu Hui, Business Development Manager of Shenzhou Group.
