Giordano International (00709) has announced that its board of directors may confiscate all dividends that remain unclaimed six years after the date of declaration, with such dividends reverting to the company.
In a formal notice to shareholders, the board confirmed that the interim dividend declared on August 11, 2020, which remains unclaimed on or after September 29, 2026, will be forfeited and returned to the company.
This move aligns with the company's standard policy on unclaimed distributions, ensuring that dormant funds are eventually recovered after an extended holding period.
