BQD Completes RMB2.00 Billion 10-Year Tier-Two Capital Bond Issuance at 1.93% Coupon

Bank of Qingdao Co., Ltd. (BQD) has finalized the placement of its “2026 Tier-Two Capital Bonds” in China’s national interbank bond market. The issuance, approved by the Qingdao Bureau of the National Financial Regulatory Administration and the People’s Bank of China, was book-built on 10 August 2026 and closed on 12 August 2026.

The transaction raised RMB2.00 billion through a single 10-year fixed-rate tranche carrying a coupon of 1.93%. BQD holds a conditional redemption right at the end of the fifth year, allowing early repayment subject to regulatory consent.

Proceeds will be allocated to supplement the bank’s tier-two capital in accordance with prevailing laws and regulatory approvals, enhancing the institution’s overall capital adequacy.

The issuance was announced by Chairman Jing Zailun on behalf of the board on 13 August 2026.
