In the early hours of August 24, as the final cheers of the concert faded, three fan-dedicated trains operated by China Railway Jinan Group Co., Ltd. were ready on time, heading to Beijing, Shanghai, and Qingdao respectively, so fans didn't have to worry about "how to get home" late at night.
Before the concert, the Jinan Group took proactive steps, partnering with the event organizers to conduct a return-trip needs survey among concertgoers. Based on the fans' feedback, they precisely identified the three main return destinations—Beijing, Shanghai, and Qingdao—and developed a train addition plan accordingly.
The fan special trains are characterized by concentrated passenger flow, high occupancy rates, and unified travel times. The three added trains are: G4956 from Jinan East to Beijing South (stopping at Tianjin South), G4960/4957 from Jinan East to Shanghai Hongqiao (via Jinan West, Nanjing South, and Suzhou North), and G9351 from Jinan East to Qingdao North (stopping at Weifang North).
In the early hours of August 24, the three overnight high-speed trains departed successively from Jinan East Station, with departure times concentrated between 0:02 and 1:07, ensuring safe and timely returns for fans from different regions.
To enhance service quality and create a vibrant atmosphere, Jinan East Station designated a dedicated waiting area for fans, complete with a signing wall where many concertgoers left their names and well-wishes. Inside the waiting hall, fans gathered, sharing unforgettable moments from the evening's performance.
"I rushed to the station right after leaving the stadium, and to my surprise, there were more treats waiting in the waiting area—it felt like the concert wasn't over yet," one waiting fan said. Staff also distributed concert-themed postcards on site. Some fans immediately took photos of the postcards upon sitting down, while others carefully tucked them into their bags, saying they'd "take them home to treasure."
To ensure every fan enjoys a warm and comfortable travel experience, Jinan East Station extended its operating hours, opened dedicated security check channels, and deployed additional staff across all positions to provide full guidance. They also increased the frequency of train information announcements and ensured the proper functioning of amenities such as water dispensers, charging stations, and vending machines in the waiting area. The station also coordinated with subway and bus companies in advance to arrange connections, guaranteeing smooth return trips for fans.
Mr. Chen from Beijing said, "I came from Beijing and was prepared to ask for leave from work, but I never expected to catch a high-speed rail straight home. I'll be able to clock in on time tomorrow morning without missing a beat—absolutely perfect!"
Ms. Zhou from Qingdao shared, "I was pretty tired after the concert, but the moment I entered the station and saw the signing wall, I got excited all over again. The station staff worked overtime for us, and I'm truly touched."
As a token of gratitude, fans presented banners of appreciation to the railway staff, marking a heartwarming two-way gesture between the railway department and concertgoers.
In recent years, the Jinan Group has repeatedly operated late-night high-speed trains during major performances, gradually developing a "concert + railway" customized service model. This time, the fan special trains leveraged big data to assess passenger demand, precisely targeting return directions to Beijing, Shanghai, and Qingdao, achieving a seat occupancy rate exceeding 90% and effectively solving the problem of late-night returns for fans.
From stage to platform, from midnight to dawn, the railway department's dedicated service warms every traveler's journey.
