The energy storage system bidding market exhibits distinct characteristics of "concentration at the top and a tiered structure," while the industry's competitive dynamics are rapidly shifting from a "price war" to a "value war," influenced by factors such as the scaling up of centralized procurement, demand for long-duration storage, and the iteration of large battery cells.
In terms of competitive landscape, the top 15 companies in the H1 2026 energy storage system bidding volume accounted for approximately 51.8 GWh combined, representing a 64.9% share. CRRC Zhuzhou Institute secured the top position in the system bidding scale with a market share of 12.7%, driven by its strong performance in securing large orders from central state-owned enterprises and large-scale independent energy storage projects.
Companies including Ronghe Energy Storage, BYD Co., Ltd. (SZ: 002594), Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (SZ: 002202), Electrician Times, Highsun Energy Storage, NARI-Relays, TBEA Co., Ltd., Xinyuan Zhichu, and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (SZ: 300750) followed closely, securing stable market shares by leveraging their differentiated advantages across centralized procurement, decentralized procurement, and the broader market.
