Starting today, August 14th, the air-rail intermodal service center at Xi'an North Station has officially opened to the public. Travelers can now complete flight check-ins and luggage check-ins without leaving the train station, located at the north side of the high-speed rail arrival level, near the entrance of Metro Line 14.
The luggage can be transferred free of charge to Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, allowing passengers to proceed directly to security check and boarding upon arrival. Previously, a railway service point was already established in Terminal 3 of Xianyang Airport, handling ticket changes and cancellations.
With the introduction of airport services within the high-speed rail station, the two major transportation hubs have achieved two-way connectivity, enabling a "seamless connection" for air-rail transfers. Additionally, all waiting seats at Xi'an North Station, Xi'an Station, and Xi'an East Station have been replaced with new ones, featuring built-in charging ports. Some seats even include foldable baby cribs, making travel with children more convenient.
The stations have also introduced additional services such as child care, maternal hydration stations, and first-aid kits. Looking ahead, more intermodal fare discounts and service points at high-speed rail stations will be rolled out to further enhance the travel experience.
