Jiangxi province has initiated a strategic research project titled "Research on the Green Transformation Standard System Construction and Implementation Path for the Bamboo-Replacing-Plastic Industry in Jiangxi Province," managed by the Jiangxi Research Institute of China's Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy. The project was launched in Yichun City, Jiangxi.

Leveraging Jiangxi's abundant bamboo resources, the project targets the critical shortage of supply chain standards in the bamboo-replacing-plastic industry. It aims to systematically build a standard system covering key stages such as cultivation, processing, manufacturing, and product application. This initiative is designed to provide standardization support for Jiangxi's "Billion-Yuan Bamboo Industry Project" and to implement the national "Bamboo as a Substitute for Plastic" initiative.

Experts suggest that the project should actively align with the national "Bamboo as a Substitute for Plastic" special standard system. It is recommended to comprehensively identify the gaps and weaknesses in Jiangxi's bamboo industry standards, conduct top-level design across the entire industrial chain, and strengthen the coordination mechanism between standard implementation paths and supporting policies to ensure the standards are scientific, applicable, and effective.

As a major bamboo resource province, Jiangxi's advancement of the green transformation standard system for the bamboo-replacing-plastic industry is a key measure to support the national "Bamboo as a Substitute for Plastic" initiative and achieve the "Billion-Yuan Bamboo Industry Project" target. This holds significant strategic importance and practical value.
