Shares of QuantGroup (ASX: 02865) experienced a significant surge in heavy trading volume during the final session, closing with a gain of 111.26% at HK$23.64, with a turnover of HK$1.136 billion.
Key Catalyst for the Move
On the afternoon of June 1st, a closed-door policy exchange titled "Intelligence & Data Resonance," organized by the AI 100 Committee in collaboration with the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance (AIIA), was successfully held in Beijing. The meeting centered on the "Model-Data Resonance" action plan for 2026, jointly implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Data Administration. The AI 100 Committee invited over ten chairmen and CEOs from leading artificial intelligence companies to engage in closed-door discussions with government officials and policy experts, aiming to facilitate supply-demand matching and mutual empowerment.
According to an announcement on QuantGroup's official WeChat account, Li Yan, the company's Co-founder, Executive Director, and Chief Strategy Officer, was invited to participate in the forum. Li Yan stated that, considering the current pace of industrial development, the next one to three years will present a critical window for the large-scale commercialization of embodied AI applications. The synergistic iteration between data and models can effectively address core challenges such as insufficient adaptability to industry-specific scenarios and high implementation barriers.
Company's Strategic Direction
Based on this trend, QuantGroup plans to establish dedicated datasets for vertical industries, deploy specialized models for specific, segmented scenarios, and advance the pilot implementation of kitchen robots in the food and beverage sector. Furthermore, Li Yan proposed that relevant authorities take the lead in establishing industry-specific data sandboxes to promote compliant data sharing between scenario-based enterprises and large language model developers.
