A herd of horses grazing in a riverbed in Dongguang Town, Wangqing County, Jilin, became stranded on a central shoal after a sudden rise in water levels on July 30.
An eyewitness reported that a drone was used to transport hay to the trapped horses as a feeding measure.
On July 31, the Dongguang Town government responded, stating that after the river water level receded, the horses were safely retrieved by their owner and brought home, with no injuries or fatalities among the animals.
