XPENG-W (09868) shares rose more than 4% in Hong Kong trading, climbing 4.22% to HK$51.6 with a trading volume of HK$1.42 billion at the time of reporting.
According to an official statement from XPENG on July 27, the company's Australian and New Zealand subsidiary (referred to as XPENG ANZ) plans to introduce five all-new vehicle models within six months. Each model is positioned to set a new benchmark for intelligence in its respective segment. Notably, Australia will be among the first markets to receive XPENG's latest products at the same time as the Chinese market.
As part of the six-month rollout, XPENG ANZ aims to establish three flagship technology experience centers and 50 sales outlets across Australia.
In a key development, XPENG has unveiled its first-ever physical AI vision in Australia. This initiative is built on a unified, self-developed AI foundation designed to support intelligent electric vehicles, humanoid robots, and flying vehicles. As part of this technology roadmap, the XPENG Turing AI Intelligent Driving (NGP) system, powered by XPENG's second-generation VLA large model, is scheduled to launch globally starting in 2027.
