MiniMax Founder Announces Salary Forfeiture and Stock Allocation for Team and Open Source

MiniMax founder and CEO Yan Junjie has issued an internal company-wide letter addressing recent market fluctuations and reaffirming the firm's long-term strategic direction.

In the letter, Yan announced that effective immediately and continuing until the company achieves Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), he will forgo receiving any salary from the company.

Furthermore, over the next four years, he will allocate a portion of his personal shareholding equivalent to 4% of the company's total equity to incentivize team members who have worked alongside the company long-term and contributed to creating value.

Concurrently, he will allocate an additional 1% of equity to establish a dedicated fund for the ongoing support of relevant open-source communities.
