Feifeng Aviation Technology, in partnership with strategic collaborator Alatau Pioneer Aviation Group (AAAG), has successfully completed a public flight demonstration of a 2-tonne eVTOL in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, focused on advanced air mobility.

Key attendees at the event included China's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Han Chunlin, Assistant to the President of Kazakhstan Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev, South Korea's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Jung Ki-hong, and Kazakhstan's Civil Aviation Committee Chairman Michael Daniel, who witnessed this significant development in low-altitude transportation.

AAAG CEO Sergey Khegay stated: "This public demonstration flight in Astana is a critical component of Kazakhstan's systematic deployment of urban air mobility. The country is simultaneously advancing regulatory improvements, infrastructure development, and international technical cooperation to build a comprehensive ecosystem supporting future air travel. These flight demonstrations help the industry prepare technologically, operationally, and regulatorily, laying the groundwork for practical applications. AAAG's ultimate goal is to integrate low-altitude transport deeply into Kazakhstan's transportation network, making it an indispensable part of the national mobility system."

With Kazakhstan's legislative amendments on digitalization, road transport, and advanced transport technology regulations officially signed into effect in June 2026, eVTOL aircraft and vertiports have been formally incorporated into the framework, receiving critical institutional support. This demonstration flight was conducted under a special permit from Kazakhstan's Civil Aviation Committee, whose chairman was present at the event.

Feifeng Aviation Senior Vice President Xie Jia commented: "The series of flights in Kazakhstan represents a significant practice in Feifeng's global expansion and the Belt and Road initiative's low-altitude cooperation. Globalization is not just about exporting aircraft products; it's about exporting operational systems and airworthiness compliance capabilities, and testing our comprehensive competencies in real-world conditions. We will continue to leverage technological innovation, cross-border airworthiness alignment, and operational system development, focusing on scenarios such as intercity commuting, cross-regional logistics, aerial tourism, and energy operations, collaborating with local partners to drive the large-scale deployment of global advanced air mobility."

This public flight demonstration was a key supporting event for the 2026 Future Games, an international tech-sports event. During this period, Feifeng Aviation conducted a series of flight demonstrations and displays, integrating future air mobility solutions into this global tech-sports gathering, allowing the low-altitude economy to resonate with future sports scenarios and further expanding the influence of advanced air mobility on the world stage.
