Shares of Charter Communications (CHTR) tumbled 5.90% in pre-market trading on Friday after the company reported second-quarter results that showed a slight revenue shortfall against Wall Street expectations.

The Stamford, Connecticut-based telecommunications giant posted quarterly revenue of $13.50 billion, narrowly missing the consensus estimate of $13.51 billion. On the earnings side, Charter reported earnings per share of $10.66 for the quarter.

The revenue miss comes amid a backdrop of growing analyst caution on the stock. In recent weeks, several major Wall Street firms have slashed their price targets on Charter, with Goldman Sachs cutting its target to $125 from $185, Barclays lowering to $130 from $200, and RBC Capital reducing to $160 from $220, reflecting concerns over the company's growth trajectory in a challenging broadband market.
