Suntec Trust Management Limited, the manager of Suntec REIT, announced on Jul, 28 2026 that HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Limited, acting as trustee, has signed an amendment and restatement agreement with The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Singapore Branch to extend the maturity of a 100 million Singapore dollars sustainability-linked loan facility. The facility will be used to refinance existing debt, fund asset acquisitions and enhancement initiatives, and cover general working capital needs.
The updated facility agreement contains change-of-control provisions that would trigger an event of default if specific ownership thresholds by the manager, Acrophyte Asset Management Pte. Ltd., or the Tang family–controlled Sponsor Group are breached without lender consent.
If the default conditions are met, facilities totaling about 3.8523 billion Singapore dollars—or roughly 3.7523 billion Singapore dollars currently drawn—could become immediately repayable under cross-default clauses.
