U-PRESID CHINA’s 2025 Sustainability Report: Revenue Hits RMB 31.71 bn, Carbon-Intensity Down 17.9% from 2020

Uni-President China Holdings Ltd. (U-PRESID CHINA) released its 2025 Sustainability Report, detailing financial performance and environmental, social and governance (ESG) achievements for the year ended 31 December 2025.

Financial snapshot • Revenue reached RMB 31.71 billion, with total profit of RMB 2.05 billion and total assets of RMB 24.49 billion. • R&D spending totalled RMB 284.00 million, underpinning new product launches such as low-sugar Jasmine Green Milk Tea and Yuzu Tonkotsu Udon.

Environmental performance and targets • Scope 1 greenhouse-gas emissions stood at 201,944 tCO₂e; Scope 2 emissions at 484,226 tCO₂e. Combined intensity was 0.1515 tCO₂e per tonne of product, 17.9% lower than the 2020 baseline—surpassing the 12% reduction goal set for 2025. A new 2030 target calls for a 22% cut versus 2020. • Total energy use was 1.86 million MWh; energy intensity fell 16.7% to 0.41 MWh per tonne of product. • Water-use intensity dropped 13.3% from 2020 to 2.76 tonnes per tonne of product; total consumption was 12.51 million tonnes. • Hazardous-waste intensity declined 34.7% to 0.057 kg per tonne of product; non-hazardous-waste intensity decreased 30.1% to 14.67 kg per tonne of product. • The group runs 17 rooftop solar projects generating 43,145 MWh and purchased 12,215 MWh of green power. • Certifications include 26 ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 sites, 12 national and 26 provincial “Green Factory” titles, and the first carbon-neutral factory at Changbaishan.

Food safety and quality • “Three Lines of Defence” and “Three Checks of Quality Control” frameworks delivered 100% government and customer inspection pass rates, with zero food-safety incidents or product recalls. • The in-house Food Safety Testing Centre maintains over 700 test items and 173 CNAS-accredited methods.

Workforce and social investment • Total employees numbered 34,305; women represented 42.6% of staff and 36.3% of management. • Occupational safety performance included 0 fatalities and a work-injury frequency rate of 0.36 cases per million working hours, 22% lower than 2020. • Social welfare expenditures reached RMB 13.49 million alongside 13,638 volunteer hours, supporting disaster relief, rural education and community health initiatives.

Supply-chain governance • The group managed 726 raw-material suppliers through digitalised risk screening and annual audits, achieving a 99% supplier pass rate. Environmental, social and governance criteria now account for 61% of supplier assessments.

Governance and recognition • ESG oversight resides with a board-level committee; during 2025 two ESG reports were delivered to the board. • Honors included multiple national quality awards and listings among Shanghai’s “Excellent ESG Practices of Foreign-Invested Enterprises”.

U-PRESID CHINA set new 2030 environmental targets: 22% lower carbon-emission intensity, 21% lower energy intensity and 17% lower water-use intensity versus 2020. The group indicates ongoing investment in low-carbon technology, clean energy, and product innovation to sustain momentum in its sustainability journey.
