On August 13, a symposium for general managers of Guizhou's information and communications industry in the first half of 2026 was held in Guiyang. The meeting emphasized the high-quality implementation of the industry's "15th Five-Year Plan" development strategy.
It called for accelerating the deployment of 5G networks, gigabit optical networks, and computing power networks, steadily advancing pilot projects for 10-gigabit optical networks and the upgrade to 5G-A, while enhancing communication supply levels and support capabilities.
Seizing the opportunities presented by the "artificial intelligence+" initiative, the industry is urged to demonstrate its role in empowering the transformation and upgrading of various sectors. Focusing on Guizhou's new industrialization and "six major industrial clusters," it will deepen efforts in "5G + industrial internet" and "artificial intelligence + industrial internet."
The goal is to explore innovative applications of artificial intelligence in areas such as government services, healthcare, education, and cultural tourism, creating a series of benchmark intelligent applications with Guizhou characteristics.
