Huize Holding Ltd (HUIZ.US) announced its full-year 2025 financial results on March 27, 2026. The company facilitated a total of RMB 7.43 billion in gross written premiums, with first-year premiums reaching RMB 4.63 billion. Adjusted net profit was RMB 22.624 million. Compared to the 9.05% year-over-year growth in China's life insurance industry's original premium income in 2025, Huize achieved a 21% increase in total facilitated premiums and a 35% surge in first-year premiums, highlighting the leading position of digital insurance and professional intermediary platforms.
The company demonstrated continuous advancement in three core capabilities: AI, product offerings, and customer service. In AI, the platform's self-service purchase rate for new customers increased by 50% year-over-year. AI can now independently handle insurance product services and generate premiums autonomously. The company implemented the industry's first fully AI-driven claims process, completing the review and settlement of the first case in just 23 minutes. The total expense-to-revenue ratio decreased by an additional 5.9 percentage points after having dropped by 16.6 percentage points in the second quarter of 2025.
Regarding products, first-year premiums from savings insurance reached RMB 3.47 billion, a 48% year-over-year increase. Huize collaborated with leading insurers such as New China Life Insurance and Sino-British Life to develop customized products like Kuai Xiang Fu No. 5 and Fu Man Jia Plan C. New medical insurance premiums grew by 52.3%. Throughout the year, the company assisted in closing 89,000 cases with payouts nearing RMB 70 million, while continuing to innovate its customized Darwin series of critical illness insurance products.
On the customer front, the cumulative number of insured clients surpassed 12 million. The average age of long-term insurance clients is 35.3 years, with 65.8% of customers residing in tier-two cities and above. The 13-month and 25-month persistency ratios both exceeded 95%. In 2025, Huize served over 1.45 million families and managed more than 8.5 million policies, assisting 172,800 clients with claims and facilitating payouts totaling RMB 739 million.
During the earnings conference call, Huize founder Ma Cunjun revealed, "Our Vietnamese sub-brand, Global Care, saw its total annual premium increase by 106% year-over-year. Furthermore, our Singapore subsidiary successfully obtained financial advisor and exempt insurance broker licenses from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, officially commencing local operations." He added, "Looking ahead to 2026, Huize will continue to advance comprehensive AI empowerment and deepen product innovation while accelerating and expanding our overseas business布局, committed to delivering long-term, sustainable value returns for our shareholders."
