At the production line of Beijing Grain Longjiang Bioengineering Co., Ltd., corn is fermented into new material-grade L-lactic acid, with the automation rate of this line exceeding 90%. Similarly, projects such as erythritol and starch sugar, also using corn as raw material, have been established in Qinggang one after another.
Following the municipal development strategy for a modern industrial system, Qinggang County has successively introduced implementation plans and supporting policy measures for the bio-economy, clarifying goals, detailing pathways, and strengthening safeguards. Currently, an industrial cluster centered on corn-based bio-manufacturing, supplemented by non-grain biomaterials, is gradually taking shape. Furthermore, university-enterprise cooperation adopts a model of "R&D conducted externally, transformation implemented in Qinggang." Through collaboration with multiple universities and research institutes, several companies have established provincial or municipal-level engineering technology research centers, with one successfully applying for a provincial-level pilot-scale and maturation platform. A polylactic acid project has entered the industrialization preparation stage and will be used in the field of new medical materials in the future.
The county has achieved full coverage of key enterprise liaison services, with dozens of resident enterprise secretaries providing on-site support to several dozen key enterprises. In terms of infrastructure, the Qinggang County Economic Development Zone meets the "Seven Connections and One Leveling" standard and has been incorporated into the management of the Qinggang section of the Suihua Collaborative Pilot Zone within the Heilongjiang Pilot Free Trade Zone.
