At the seventh session of the 17th People's Congress of Liaoyang City, held on August 20, Li Yong was officially elected as the Mayor of the Liaoyang Municipal People's Government.

Li Yong, a male member of the Communist Party of China, was born in December 1974. He holds a postgraduate degree and a doctoral degree. He currently serves as the Deputy Secretary of the Liaoyang Municipal Committee and the Mayor of the Liaoyang Municipal People's Government, as well as the Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Municipal Government.
