4DMEDICAL LTD (ASX:4DX) saw its shares soar 8.00% during intraday trading on Tuesday, following the announcement of positive clinical study results.
The surge comes after the company disclosed that a study published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine demonstrated its CT:VQ imaging product could significantly improve patient selection for lung volume reduction surgery. The study showed that using CT:VQ guidance would deliver a 76% response rate to the surgery, compared to the current rate of 46%.
This improvement in pre-operative selection is expected to strengthen the economics of surgical programs for hospitals by focusing resources on patients most likely to benefit, potentially driving increased adoption of 4DMedical's technology.
