Global New Material International Holdings Limited announced that its R&D initiative “Research and Development of Long-wearing Cosmetic-grade Synthetic Mica Powder” has passed the scientific and technological achievement evaluation conducted by Zhongke Hechuang (Beijing) Scientific and Technological Achievement Evaluation Centre, receiving the Certificate of Scientific and Technological Achievement Evaluation (Zhongke Ping Zi [2026] No. 12788). The certificate confirms the project’s overall technology has reached a domestic leading and international advanced level.
The project, jointly executed by subsidiaries Zhejiang Hongzun Technology Co., Ltd., Guangxi Chesir Pearl Material Co., Ltd., and Luzhai Chesir Pearl Mica Material Co., Ltd., targets long-standing challenges in the synthetic fluorophlogopite powder segment—specifically low fine-particle yield, poor hydrophobicity, agglomeration, and weak alkalinity that may irritate skin. Global New Material developed an integrated production workflow encompassing pre-treatment, rinsing and desorption, grinding, centrifugal classification, spray drying, condensation modification, and air-flow dispersion. This optimised chain enhances hydrophobicity, balances pH, prevents agglomeration, and improves powder dispersibility, skin compatibility, and resistance to water, sweat, and sebum.
Management highlighted that the project’s successful validation will accelerate the application of synthetic mica in high-end cosmetics, elevate domestic technical standards for powder raw materials, and strengthen the Group’s innovation and engineering capabilities. While the certification is not expected to have a material impact on near-term financial results, it is expected to support future expansion among premier domestic and global cosmetic brands and deepen the company’s technological moat.
