Major stock indices in Japan and South Korea opened trading on a negative note on Wednesday.
The Nikkei 225 index began the session down 0.4%, opening at 67,002.94 points.
Similarly, South Korea's KOSPI index opened 0.6% lower, starting the day at 6,769.06 points.
