Samsung Electronics has unveiled plans to channel approximately 240 billion won into the construction of a new production line dedicated to FläktGroup heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at its manufacturing complex in Gwangju, South Korea. The facility is slated for completion and operational startup in 2028.
This new plant will focus on manufacturing FläktGroup HVAC solutions, which notably include advanced cooling technologies designed for artificial intelligence data centers. By leveraging this facility, Samsung aims to significantly expand its domestic HVAC operations, specifically targeting the surging demand driven by the rapid growth of AI data centers.
The company's strategic vision positions the HVAC business as a pivotal new growth driver, with an ambitious goal to secure a position among the global top-tier companies in this industry by the year 2030.
