Star Sports Medicine Co., Ltd. confirmed that shareholders at the 2025 annual general meeting on 26 June 2026 approved a general mandate authorising the Board to repurchase up to 10% of the company’s H-share capital, equivalent to 5.48 million shares.

Leveraging this mandate, the Board on 18 August 2026 endorsed an H-share repurchase plan for a maximum 2.90 million shares, representing approximately 5.29% of the H shares in issue. Purchases will be executed on the Hong Kong market at prices not exceeding 105% of the average closing price over the five trading days preceding each transaction, in line with Rule 10.06 of the Listing Rules.

Repurchased shares will be recorded as treasury stock and may be resold, deployed in equity incentive programmes, or used for other lawful purposes. The company will finance the buyback with internal resources and will avoid any repurchases that would breach public-float requirements or involve core connected persons.

Star Sports Medicine stated that the initiative is intended to enhance per-share value and shareholder returns. The Board has delegated full execution authority to its chairman, who will oversee trading, disclosure filings, and liaison with the share registrar.

The company pledged to publish next-day disclosure returns and monthly updates detailing repurchase progress, treasury-share movements, and any subsequent disposals, in accordance with the Listing Rules and relevant regulations. Shareholders and prospective investors were cautioned that the actual scale, timing and pricing of the repurchases will depend on prevailing market conditions and Board discretion.
