Jiangxi Bank cleared to issue up to RMB11.00 billion in capital instruments and lift bond quotas

Jiangxi Bank has secured multiple regulatory approvals, materially expanding its onshore and offshore funding capacity through a combination of capital instruments and financial bonds.

The People’s Bank of China (PBoC) has granted two administrative licences, both valid until 30 June 2027:

1. Capital supplementary bonds • Incremental outstanding balance capped at RMB4.00 billion. • Total outstanding balance limited to RMB12.00 billion. • Issuance permitted in China’s inter-bank market and overseas markets at the Bank’s discretion within the validity period.

2. Ordinary financial bonds • Incremental outstanding balance capped at RMB2.00 billion. • Total outstanding balance limited to RMB16.00 billion. • Issuable in the inter-bank and overseas markets, including bonds for specific fundraising purposes.

Separately, the National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA) Jiangxi Bureau has authorised the Bank to issue up to RMB11.00 billion in capital instruments, comprising undated capital bonds and secondary capital bonds. Issuances may be staged and must be completed within 24 months of the approval date.

All offerings must comply with the Measures for the Administration of the Issuance of Financial Bonds in the National Interbank Bond Market, related operating procedures, and commercial bank capital regulations.
