Sunpower Group Ltd. (5GD) has issued 40,500 new ordinary shares following the partial conversion of its outstanding convertible bonds during the period from April 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026. \n\nAccording to the company’s July 8, 2026 filing, bondholders converted bonds with an aggregate principal amount of SGD 10,125 at a conversion price of SGD 0.25 per share, as stipulated in the trust deed governing the securities. \n\nPost-conversion, the principal amount of the convertible bonds outstanding declined to SGD 93,018,878 from SGD 93,029,003. The company’s issued and paid-up share capital rose to USD 8,214,536.98, comprising 821,453,698 shares, up from USD 8,214,131.98 and 821,413,198 shares previously. \n\nThe newly issued shares rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares, except for any entitlements whose record date precedes the registration of the conversion shares. \n\nThe conversion shares are expected to commence trading on the Singapore Exchange mainboard at 9:00 a.m. on July 9, 2026. The convertible bonds were originally issued as part of the company’s rights issue detailed in its offer information statement lodged with the Monetary Authority of Singapore on March 10, 2025.
