As of August 17th, the latest AI product rankings for desktop platforms revealed that the total monthly active users (MAU) for AI-powered office applications in China reached approximately 30 million in July 2026. The data highlights a significant surge in the adoption of these tools, signaling a major shift in how professionals approach daily workflows.
Topping the overall list of AI office agents, WorkBuddy and Baidu's dedicated office platform, known as Baidu Dazi, recorded 11.15 million and 6.74 million MAU, respectively. Combined, these two leading products account for nearly 18 million monthly users, representing about 60% of the entire market share, demonstrating their dominant position in the sector.
In terms of growth, Baidu Dazi experienced a remarkable month-over-month increase of 1063.79%, securing the top spot on the growth leaderboard for AI office agents. Following closely, WorkBuddy posted a substantial growth rate of 304.40%, claiming the second position. This explosive growth underscores the rapidly increasing reliance on intelligent agents to streamline complex work tasks.
Baidu Dazi, developed as a professional office agent platform for both individual and enterprise use, enables users to set work objectives that the system then breaks down into actionable steps. It excels in handling tasks such as data retrieval, file processing, and tool invocation, allowing it to seamlessly manage complex operations that span multiple applications and documents. Earlier this year, the platform’s robust execution and delivery capabilities earned it a spot on the "Most Practical Agents TOP10" list, jointly published by Frost & Sullivan and Touyan Research Institute.
Industry experts suggest that with the current domestic MAU hovering around 30 million, the AI office market still possesses immense untapped potential. When compared to the user base of traditional office software, there is an estimated potential for a 20-fold expansion in the AI sector, indicating a long runway for future growth and innovation.
