On the afternoon of October 10, XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) was elected as Secretary of the newly established "Task Force on Exchange of Safety-Related Information" (TF-ESRI) under the framework of the Working Party on Automated/Autonomous and Connected Vehicles (GRVA) within the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) vehicle regulations harmonization system.

The role involves supporting the working group's coordination and administrative affairs, and promoting the exchange of information and experience among global regulators, approval authorities, technical experts, and industry participants regarding real-world autonomous driving operation scenarios.

XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng expressed gratitude for everyone's trust, saying this is likely the first time a Chinese company has served as secretary under the core framework of UN autonomous driving regulations. He added that XPeng will strive to bring China's practical experience in autonomous driving into global rule coordination, contributing Chinese strength to the safe global deployment of autonomous driving.

According to available information, TF-ESRI is co-chaired by France and China, bringing together global regulators, approval authorities, technical experts, and automotive industry representatives to exchange views on road environments, traffic behavior, safety performance, and real-world operational experience of autonomous driving in different markets.

Under this mechanism, XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) was elected as Secretary representing the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA), and will work alongside the Secretary from SAE International to support the operation of the working group and assist in coordinating participation and related affairs from all parties.

By gathering real operational experience from different markets, TF-ESRI will help all parties further understand the diverse scenarios and safety challenges facing autonomous driving, and provide practical references for technology development, testing, certification, and operation.

The appointment received support from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). XPeng's participation in OICA-related international work on behalf of CAAM also signifies that the intelligent driving technology practices of China's automotive industry are further deepening their involvement in the global autonomous driving technology and regulatory coordination system.

In July of this year, XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng completed localization acceptance testing of XPeng's Turing AI intelligent driving in Germany. Equipped with the second-generation VLA large model, XPeng's Turing AI intelligent driving, leveraging the model's inherent generalization capabilities, demonstrated strong adaptability in real European road environments, further validating its adaptability to different road conditions, traffic rules, and driving habits.

XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) also became the first domestic company to achieve unified model deployment across both China and Europe, continuously advancing mass-production adaptation for the European market.
