Prudential plc reported that its issued ordinary share capital fell by 6.48 million shares to 2.52 billion for the month ended Apr, 30 2026, according to its latest filing with Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited.

The reduction stemmed from the cancellation of shares repurchased between Apr, 1 2026 and Apr, 30 2026 under a buy-back programme authorised on May, 14 2025. An additional 1.12 million repurchased shares remained pending cancellation at month-end.

No new shares were issued during the period, leaving the company with no treasury shares. Exercises of employee share options raised approximately 0.26 million Singapore dollars in cash proceeds.

Prudential confirmed that it continued to satisfy the exchange’s minimum 25% public-float requirement as at Apr, 30 2026.
