BetterLife Holding projects up to RMB105.00 million 1H26 loss after auto-sales slowdown

BetterLife Holding Limited (BETTERLIFE HLDG) has issued a profit warning, indicating that it expects to post a loss attributable to owners of no more than RMB105.00 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026. The company reported a profit of RMB7.10 million in the same period of 2025, underscoring a year-on-year swing into the red.

Management attributed the downturn primarily to a decline in automobile sales revenue, driven by a weaker macro-economic backdrop and subdued market sentiment, which compressed both gross profit and gross margin.

Despite the anticipated loss in its core auto sales segment, the group highlighted resilient liquidity metrics: • Cash and cash equivalents stood at no less than RMB540.00 million as at 30 June 2026. • Net cash inflow from operating activities reached no less than RMB230.00 million during the period. • Current assets fully cover current liabilities and all long-term interest-bearing debt, leaving short- and long-term repayment pressure “manageable,” according to the board.

Revenue and gross margin from after-sales services remained stable year on year, helping to support operating cash flow. Management reiterated its commitment to a prudent financial strategy, emphasizing adequate cash reserves and sustained positive operating cash generation to support ongoing operations and debt obligations.

The unaudited figures are subject to review, and full interim results are scheduled for release by end-August 2026. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares until the detailed financial statements are published.
