Vulcan Energy Resources Ltd (VUL.AU) saw its shares soar 5.77% during intraday trading on Friday, following a significant corporate development that removed a key uncertainty for its flagship project.
The surge comes after the company announced it has reached financial close on a comprehensive EUR 2.2 billion equity and debt financing package for the Phase One Lionheart project. This milestone financing is structured across project, subsidiary, and parent-company levels to fund the construction of the Lionheart initiative.
With this financial close achieved, Vulcan Energy can now access the remaining financing, subject to customary drawdown conditions tied to the project's construction schedule and capital expenditure profile. The securing of this substantial funding package represents a critical step forward in de-risking the project and enabling its development timeline.
