Qiagen NV shares tumbled 6.88% in after-hours trading on Wednesday, following the release of its second-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings report. The stock declined sharply as investors reacted to flat net sales and reaffirmed full-year guidance that fell short of market expectations.
The diagnostics company reported Q2 net sales of $535 million, unchanged from the prior year, while non-GAAP adjusted diluted EPS rose to $0.62. Growth pillars advanced about 5%, but QuantiFERON testing revenue edged up only 1%, pressured by lower demand from U.S. immigration testing. The company reaffirmed its 2026 outlook, calling for net sales growth of approximately 1%-2% and adjusted diluted EPS of at least $2.43.
The after-hours sell-off suggests that the market was disappointed by the stagnant top-line performance and the modest growth projections, which raised concerns about the company’s near-term momentum.
