Golden Fields, Bountiful Harvest: Xinhe's 310,000 Mu of Corn Reaps a Rich Reward

Golden autumn brings the fragrance of grain. As the National Day holiday arrives, autumn crops in Xinhe County have ripened one after another, and the entire county has entered a concentrated harvest period. Across the vast fields, combine harvesters shuttle back and forth, while farmers seize the farming season to harvest, transport, and dry their crops. Everywhere there is a bustling tide of abundant harvests, offering a heavy bounty as a tribute to the 77th anniversary of the motherland.

In the corn fields of townships across the county, golden corn stalks stretch in unbroken waves. Amid the roar of machinery, combine harvesters work in orderly fashion in the fields, with golden corn pouring from the discharge outlets directly into transport vehicles. This is efficient and convenient, saving time and effort, and greatly reducing the labor burden on farmers. A large-scale grower gazed at the transport truck filled with corn, his face full of joy: "The corn grew well this year, and with the help of large agricultural machinery, the harvest is fast. We have much less to worry about, and this is a good harvest dedicated to National Day."

According to a relevant official from the Xinhe County Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, the county's corn planting area this year is 310,000 mu, and with suitable summer and autumn climate conditions, the average corn yield per mu across the county is expected to reach 2,300 jin. To ensure that autumn grain is fully harvested and every grain is brought in, the bureau planned ahead and coordinated its deployment, organizing agricultural technicians to go down to the front lines in the fields to inspect crop growth and soil moisture, provide on-site technical guidance, promptly answer farmers' questions about harvesting, drying, and pest and disease prevention and control, and vigorously promote mechanized harvesting loss-reduction techniques to minimize grain loss. At the same time, it scientifically dispatched agricultural machinery resources, handled cross-regional machinery coordination and equipment maintenance support, opened green channels for agricultural machinery operations, and ensured smooth passage for agricultural machinery.

In recent years, the county has continued to stabilize grain planting areas, constantly optimize the planting structure, vigorously promote improved seeds and methods, and steadily raise the level of agricultural mechanization. While stabilizing the production of staple grains such as corn, it has developed specialty planting industries suited to local conditions, further broadening channels for increasing people's incomes, and consolidating the foundation of rural revitalization through bountiful grain production. Next, the county will continue to closely monitor autumn harvest progress, firmly carry out agricultural machinery support, grain drying, purchasing services, and other tasks, continuously accelerate the harvesting pace, ensuring that each plot is harvested as soon as it is ready, making every effort to guarantee that autumn grain is brought in, welcoming National Day with abundant harvests, and ensuring the successful completion of all autumn harvest tasks this year.
