WellCell Holdings Co., Limited has launched an artificial-intelligence strategy to extend its core wireless-network optimisation and ICT services into AI infrastructure, according to a voluntary business update released on 15 May 2026.

The group plans to incubate three new lines of business:

1. Computing-Power Leasing Platform – elastic GPU resources for AI training, inference and high-performance computing, ranging from single-card units to clusters of up to 1,000 cards.

2. Computing-Power Scheduling and Optimisation Platform – intelligent orchestration for multi-cloud and heterogeneous environments, aimed at raising GPU utilisation through unified cross-region, cross-vendor scheduling, workload forecasting, automatic scaling, task-priority pre-emption and energy-cost optimisation.

3. Token Aggregation API – a single-interface gateway that aggregates leading global large-language models, allowing AI application developers and model-application enterprises to access “one-click invocation and intelligent routing”.

An internal AI strategy task force and a dedicated business unit will be formed to execute the plan. WellCell intends to step up recruitment of technical talent, deepen ecosystem partnerships and allocate capital based on project return profiles. A risk-management framework will govern service provision, productise computing-power solutions and oversee pilot testing of token-based services.

Management emphasised that the AI transformation is at an early stage and subject to technological, market, regulatory and operational uncertainties. WellCell stated it will announce material developments in line with Hong Kong Listing Rules and will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations when expanding into new jurisdictions.

Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution, as the forward-looking statements in the announcement may differ materially from future outcomes.
