On June 18, the National Financial Regulatory Administration issued guidance concerning the secure development and application of artificial intelligence within the banking and insurance sectors.
The guidance highlights the need to enhance the construction of intelligent computing infrastructure.
Financial institutions are advised to fully leverage their existing computing resource foundations and, in accordance with relevant national policies, plan the development of intelligent computing resources as needed.
This involves applying green and low-carbon technologies to build a self-reliant, secure, and efficient computing foundation, thereby contributing to high-level technological self-sufficiency and strength.
The guidance encourages large financial institutions with the requisite capabilities to provide computing power services to smaller and medium-sized financial institutions.
It also supports industry peers in exploring the co-construction and sharing of infrastructure.
