Prudential plc announced that on Jul, 28 2026 it bought back 272,261 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange under its share‐repurchase programme, paying between GBP 10.715 and GBP 10.915 per share. The transaction cost totalled roughly 5.0 million Singapore dollars.
On the same day, the company cancelled 268,586 previously repurchased shares, trimming its issued share capital to 2,504,979,851 ordinary shares from 2,505,248,437.
Prudential plc said it now holds no treasury shares. A further 272,261 shares repurchased on Jul, 28 2026 and 268,040 shares bought on Jul, 27 2026 remain to be cancelled. Shareholders had approved a mandate on May, 14 2025 allowing the company to repurchase up to 262.7 million shares; a total of 107.7 million shares, representing about 4.14 per cent of the share base at that time, have been repurchased so far. Under listing rules, the company is restricted from issuing new shares until Aug, 27 2026.
