Parker Hannifin (NYSE: PH) shares surged 5.83% in pre-market trading on Thursday, after the company reported fiscal 2026 fourth-quarter results that handily exceeded Wall Street estimates and issued a positive outlook for fiscal 2027.
The motion and control technologies company posted adjusted earnings of $9.27 per share, a 20.55% increase from the prior year, and significantly above the analyst consensus of $8.27. Sales for the quarter rose 9.77% to $5.755 billion, also beating the $5.572 billion estimate. The strong performance was driven by an 8.0% increase in organic sales and a widening of adjusted segment operating margins to 28%.
Looking ahead, Parker Hannifin provided fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings guidance of $34.25 to $35.25 per share, which compares favorably to the $34.04 consensus estimate. The company also forecasted reported and organic sales growth of 5.5% to 8.5% for the upcoming fiscal year, signaling continued momentum.
