On July 21, Direxion Daily South Korea Bull 3X Shares (KORU) rose 9.78% in pre-market trading, trading at $20.30/share, with turnover of $7.14 million.

The rally was driven by strengthening stabilization signals in the Korean equity market following weeks of severe deleveraging. SK Hynix rose 4.0% to KRW 1,834,000 and Samsung Electronics gained as much as 6.4% to KRW 259,500, while the KOSPI index rebounded 3.6% as leveraged-selling pressure eased. Korean President Lee Jae-myung urged financial regulators at a cabinet meeting to take bold and swift necessary measures regarding individual stock leveraged ETFs, which markets interpreted as a further confirmation of a policy bottom.

JPMorgan maintained its Overweight rating on Korean equities with a 12-month KOSPI target of 12,500 points, noting that approximately 75% of leveraged positions have been unwound. Citi and Morgan Stanley also issued bottom-fishing signals, with Citi maintaining a KOSPI target of 10,000 points implying over 50% upside. Goldman Sachs and UBS noted favorable risk-reward at current levels, viewing extreme volatility as a potential entry window. The combination of policy support, easing forced liquidation pressure, and multiple Wall Street endorsements fueled bullish momentum in this triple-leveraged ETF.

The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in financial instruments providing daily leveraged exposure to the MSCI Korea 25/50 Index, which covers approximately 85% of the free float-adjusted market capitalization of South Korean issuers. It is non-diversified.
