HeyGears, a leading enterprise in high-end stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing and a top player in exporting dental solutions, has announced the completion of its Series C funding round, raising over 300 million yuan. This round was jointly led by Legend Capital and Fortune Capital, with co-investment from Gopher Asset Management and CAS Investment Management.
As a global segment leader in dental 3D printing, the company has achieved scaled profitability in its dental business. Its overseas revenue now exceeds 60% of total revenue, making it the market share leader for Chinese dental 3D printing exports to North America, while its European business is growing at a rate exceeding 100%. Domestically, it holds over 60% market share in the dental lab segment, ranking first.
As one of the few 3D printing companies in China with full-stack in-house R&D capabilities across stereolithography's "optics, hardware, software, and materials," HeyGears has invested over 1 billion yuan in cumulative R&D funding since its founding 11 years ago. It holds 634 patents, with invention patents accounting for over 50% of the total. The company has achieved breakthroughs in both DLP and LCD stereolithography technologies and has built a comprehensive in-house material system.
In optics, it has developed its own photometer and mastered core dual-optical engine splicing technology, achieving an industry-leading automatic calibration accuracy of ±0.02mm, providing a solid optical foundation for high-precision molding. In materials, it has realized full-range in-house material development, independently mastering underlying technologies for various high-performance materials such as elastomers, resistant materials, and foams. This achieves a "dual optimization" of compatibility and cost, solving the dependency on high-end imported materials.
On the hardware front, it has achieved dual-line technological breakthroughs in high-end DLP and LCD stereolithography equipment, promoting the domestic substitution of core components and reducing supply chain risks. In software, its 4K dithering and optical calibration algorithms have reached internationally top-tier standards. Its core algorithms are almost entirely independently developed, without purchasing third-party algorithm packages, building an independent software ecosystem.
Currently, HeyGears' solution reach has extended from dental healthcare into advanced manufacturing, embodied intelligence, consumer electronics, and other domains representing new quality productive forces. Relying on its self-developed, self-produced, comprehensive, and mass-production-stable consumables system, its consumables business revenue share has risen to approximately 70%, providing stable cash flow returns.
Furthermore, the company is committed to driving the democratization of high-end stereolithography technology for consumer-grade applications. It aims to position 3D printing as a distributed productivity tool for the AI era, making it accessible for professional consumer-grade scenarios. Some footwear studios are already using HeyGears' Reflex 2 series, equipped with its self-developed second-generation LCD technology, for small-batch production, achieving delivery within 5 days and a maximum monthly output of 2,000 pairs.
HeyGears plans to launch a "groundbreaking" true full-color, true 3D consumer/desktop product line in Q3 2026. Positioned as a new-generation desktop full-color creation tool, it aims to compete with international products priced from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of yuan. The company hopes to leverage its vertical expertise in stereolithography to address pain points like "ease of use" and "high cost" in consumer-grade adoption, capturing the global maker and small-to-medium entrepreneur market.
As a "scarce technology target" in the 3D printing sector, HeyGears has garnered recognition from top-tier Series C investors.
Legend Capital stated: "HeyGears tackles challenges head-on, focusing on the high-end stereolithography 3D printing field. It uses digital light processing to push the boundaries of SLA 3D printing towards higher precision, more material innovation, and lower cost, thereby promoting the penetration of stereolithography technology in precision manufacturing scenarios. This is precisely what new quality productive forces should achieve. We also believe HeyGears' focus and persistence in this era will build longer-term barriers."
Fortune Capital noted: "3D printing is rapidly transitioning from a 'prototyping tool' to a 'productivity tool.' HeyGears has driven a value leap in the dental field from 'single-material to multi-material, from intermediate products to finished goods,' and is benefiting from cost reduction and AI empowerment to accelerate penetration in the consumer end. The company's long-term commitment to full-stack in-house R&D has built deep core barriers, with revolutionary technologies like multi-material and full-color 3D printing poised for breakthroughs."
Gopher Asset Management commented: "HeyGears has demonstrated exceptional global expansion capabilities in the dental sector, and its stereolithography products have also gained high recognition in the consumer market. In the future, with the company's continued investment in AI and control algorithms, full-color printing technology is expected to see explosive growth, driving both B2B and B2C segments."
CAS Investment Management said: "HeyGears' leading advantage stems from its development approach that deeply integrates equipment, materials, algorithms, and applications. The company has established a full-chain service from design to production in dentistry, comprehensively covering leading dental labs both domestically and internationally. On the consumer end, HeyGears is gradually expanding the ceiling of consumer-grade 3D printing by applying industrial-grade technology to lower-tier applications. With the release of demand for dental digitization and full-color 3D printing, the company's prospects are vast."
Regarding this funding round and future development, Gui Peiyan, Founder and CEO of HeyGears, stated: "HeyGears始终坚持技术创新,并通过全产业链‘一站式造物’能力,推动高端光固化技术使用成本与易用性优化至FDM技术的普惠水平。
