Prudential cancels 269,247 shares and discloses additional buybacks

Prudential plc announced the cancellation of 269,247 ordinary shares on Jul, 27 2026 following repurchases conducted on Jul, 23 2026, bringing its outstanding share count to 2,505,248,437.

The company also reported buying back 268,040 shares on Jul, 27 2026 on the London Stock Exchange for cancellation. Together with 268,586 shares repurchased on Jul, 24 2026 and still pending cancellation, a total of 536,626 shares are awaiting removal from the register.

Since the current share-repurchase mandate was approved on May, 14 2025, Prudential has bought back 107.46 million shares, representing about 4.13% of its issued share capital at that time. The mandate permits repurchases of up to 262.67 million shares.

Under listing rules, Prudential is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling any treasury shares until Aug, 26 2026.
