UIBREIT's stock surged 3.18% during intraday trading on Thursday, reflecting strong investor optimism.
The positive movement follows analyst commentary highlighting the real-estate investment trust's new development project. UIBREIT is taking a 51% stake in the development of a build-to-suit integrated aerospace facility in Singapore, which is expected to improve its exposure to the aerospace and automotive sectors. Analyst UOB Kay Hian notes the project is likely to start contributing from the first quarter of fiscal year 2029, with another asset in Japan potentially boosting results from fiscal year 2028. Consequently, the brokerage raised its fiscal 2029 distribution per unit projection by 3.0% to 7.3 Singapore cents, lifted its target price to S$1.17 from S$1.13, and maintained a buy rating on the stock.
